FY Epcot, I’m on the whitish-grey area on this.
Take a look at the first few months of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter over in Universal’s Islands of Adventure at Walt Disney World’s rival Universal Orlando. I noted how flutin’ crowded because of the popularity and huge fan base of the novel series.
I would predict that the crowding due to popularity as well as the WDW visitors from South America (Brazil, the continent’s largest nation, is third to the UK and Canada in terms of the Orlando area’s international visitors) would hold true if Epcot opens a Brazil pavilion in World Showcase.
Speaking of Brazil, it’s going to attract large swarms of Brazilian tour groups (a type of turismo, which is any group of students from any nation in South America), which add more to the crowds. A lot of us have a hate relationship or love-hate relationship. I have a love-hate relationship because they benefit my(I live in Florida an hour from WDW) state’s economy well, but I feel for you who hate them.
Should the pavilion open in the summer, a peak season not just for those traveling out of state, but also for Brazilian tour groups, it’s going to draw a lot of crowds just as the Harry Potter area in IOA did in the previous year. That would mean FastPasses or colored tickets for crowd control.
But nevertheless, I think it would be a fairly good idea for a Brazil pavilion. I’m hoping for a thrill ride for those wanting more of them. But it’s a wait-and see approach for now.
With an ever-growing increase in South American visitors to Disney, rumors online are beginning to spread that Epcot will add another pavilion to the World Showcase: Brazil. While WESH.com Orlando News notes that Brazilian media outlets have reported that Disney has approached the Brazilian governments, Disney has called all reports “rumors and speculation.”
So what do you guys think? Is Brazil a country you’d like to see added? :)

I agree. I also think World Showcase needs to always expand since it can be stagnant, especially with only 2 rides.
